1. Providing No Claims Discount proof
Your proof of No Claims Discount (NCD) is shown on the renewal invitation from your most recent insurer. If you do not have this, you can ask for a 'proof of NCD email or letter'. Insurance companies are used to these requests and understand what you need.

How do I provide proof of how many years No Claims Discount (NCD) I've claimed to have?
We confirm most NCD entitlements automatically via a shared insurer database. Occasionally, we may need to ask you to provide us proof directly
How to upload your NCD proof (recommended method)
Upload a photo or scan of your proof via the 'Your Account' area.
Click the 'Please upload No Claims Discount documents' link to attach your proof.

What should your proof of No Claims Discount show?
- Current NCD entitlement in years - this must match the number of years you entered in your quote.
- Your name as the policyholder.
- Your car registration number.
- Your postcode.
- Your previous insurer's name.
- Your NCD is from a policy that expired within the last 24 months.
- The discount was earned on a private car and not a company car, campervan, classic car, motorcycle, taxi, or van.
Please note, your NCD can only be used on one vehicle at a time and cannot be in use on any other car insurance policy.
What happens if I can't prove the years No Claims Discount I submitted?
If you entered 1 year or more NCD entitlement in your quote then we will need to confirm you have that entitlement. If you cannot provide evidence of the exact entitlement then we may reduce this to what you can evidence.
The result can be an increase in your premium as we apply less discount to the policy. This will need to be paid for the policy to continue.
If you choose to cancel the policy due to not being able to provide sufficient proof, the cancellation fee does apply - even within the first 14 days of purchase.
What happens next?
Once we receive your proof of NCD we will check it to make sure it is acceptable. We will then contact you to confirm we have everything we need or potentially ask for further information.
